TLS Fics of the Week: 10/29 - 11/4/2012- The Sexy Seven are up!

If you visited the site this week or are a member of our group, then you know that we had more than a few poll problems. We had to cast three polls to get this week's results. Surprisingly the second poll ended up retaining all of the votes, at the last minute, when another poll was already in progress. Because of the different outcomes of the two identical polls, we have more features than usual this week and they are all wonderful! Please enjoy the following sexy seven stories we have for you!

Adore, Adore by Ooza
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6667983/1/Adore-Adore
Bella is in a bit of a financial pinch. Can one night with Edward solve all her problems? "What do you want to do to me?" she asked. "Everything." One-shot written for SFFR, now expanded! BxE, AH, Rated MA for dirty citrus
Reviewed by cbmtmorris

“Adore, Adore” begins rather innocuously.   Bella is a down on her luck waitress in a small diner just trying to survive a tough economy and a current cash flow problem.  Currently she is in the arrears on her rent, woefully behind; and, for that matter, it would seem all of her bills.  Edward comes a knocking and unbeknownst to her, he is her new landlord.

A loud knock on the door caused me to jump. It was way too late for a social call. I looked through the peephole and was met by a familiar face. I didn't know the man personally, but I did recognize him. I assumed he lived on one of the upper floors as our paths had crossed in the stairwell on more than one occasion. He was tall and thin with a messy mop of bronze colored hair that always fell into his green eyes. He had a nice ass, too. I knew this because, whenever he walked by, I always turned around for a view from the rear
"We need to talk about your past due rent."
A maniacal sounding laugh escaped my lips, and I clapped my hand over my mouth. "I'm sorry, but who the hell are you?"
"Your landlord." He stood up straight and crossed his arms over his chest, obviously displeased by my reaction.
"Oh, yeah? Since when?" I challenged.
"Since now."

Unfortunately for Bella due to her current cash flow issues, she finds herself in the precarious position unable to pay her current month’s rent, let alone the previous months.  Faced with possible eviction proceedings, what’s a girl to do?

"Miss Swan." Edward smirked. "Would you be open to coming to an . . . alternate agreement?"
"Like what, a payment plan? It's not necessary. I'll give you the money when I get it. I promise.
"No, not like a payment plan." His tongue darted across his lips as his eyes scanned my body hungrily. It took me a moment to figure out what he was referring to.
"No! Absolutely not."
His expression darkened, and he quirked an eye brow.
"No," I repeated.
"Come on. It'll be fun."

Edward’s debt reduction plan leaves Bella with a conundrum--accept the offer of an “alternate agreement” or face the real possibility of eviction and eventual homelessness.  After a restless night filled with disturbing  dreams, and following  much internal debate, Bella decides to give Edward a call to further clarify what the proposal entails………

"How much of my rent will go away?"
"That depends on what you let me do to you," he said after a short pause. His voice was gruff and lower than usual, and it sent tingles through my body.
"What do you want to do to me?" I was afraid to hear the answer, but I had to know.
"Everything."

Following the telephone call and even preparing for a possible evening spent with Edward, Bella remains hesitant and still not primed to fully commit herself.  However, she meets Edward at his apartment at the arranged time.  With some trepidation Bella agrees to the terms that Edward set forth, one most importantly that she gives Edward the control for the evening.  Ooza takes us through that first evening with Bella eventually acquiescing to all of Edward’s demands.  She discovers that even though she had been hesitant, the eventual outcome was indeed satisfying for both of them.

I spend the night wrapped in Edward's arms. It didn't take much to convince me to stay. All he had to do was pout and I gave in. I didn't really want to go back downstairs to my apartment anyway. I was worried that, once I was alone, I would start feeling like a cheap whore.

I woke up the next morning feeling slightly awkward, but Edward's laid-back attitude put me at ease. "Well, I guess we have one last decision to make before I leave," I said as we lay in bed.
"I've already made a decision."
"And?"
Edward shrugged as he traced a pattern on my bare stomach. "Consider your account paid in full."
"Bella, one more thing," Edward called after me. I turned and waited. His lips turned up into a wicked grin. "See you next month."

So begins the strange journey of Bella and Edward.
The prevailing theme throughout the chapters seems to be Bella’s inability to define the relationship between the two of them as well as their lack of true communication.  Even though they seem to be drawing closer to each other as evidenced by Edward beginning to text Bella short messages on a daily basis and an impromptu “hook up” during the day; she still is torn.  She finds herself being more attracted and intrigued by Edward, but insecurity meets her at every turn.  Due to Bella’s self-esteem issues and lack of confidence she continues to be reluctant and is hesitant to read more into the situation than appears on the surface. Should she view the arrangement simply to be a means to an end--rent paid for an additional month, other bills being brought up to date?  Is this a business contract?   Are she and Edward friends, “fuck buddies”, what?  At the forefront of her thoughts, however, is..is…is she a whore?  Is she a slut?  It is so difficult for her to discern, and a great deal of the time Bella finds Edward elusive and difficult to read.  So no help on that front!
On the surface Edward is a man who is attractive, walks with a purpose, and has a perchance for talking dirty in and out of the bedroom.

"Anyone could come up here and see us," he whispered. "Just imagine what you look like right now—half naked, getting fucked against the wall. I bet you'd like that, wouldn't you? For everyone to know." Edward groaned and picked up the pace. "They'll know you're mine." He shuddered as I dug my nails into the back of his neck. "They'll know you're my slut."

He is a man with an air of self-confidence and smugness; however, as Ooza leads us through the chapters and she slowly peels back the layers of Edward’s psyche.  She gives us a peak into what seems to be in reality a man with a big heart and many insecurities of his own.  Although he projects a self-confident, almost smug demeanor, it appears simply to be a mask he wears to hide his need for acceptance, approval and possibly even love.  On more than one occasion Edward makes reference to the fact that he wishes Bella not to see their agreement as simply a business arrangement, and at one juncture of the story Edward outright states that he views the two of them as friends; however, Bella dispels the idea that the two of them are friends when she encounters Edward one evening with a very attractive woman on his arm.  Seemingly embarrassed by being “caught” by Bella, he quickly shifts into the mode of landlord and thus ending phase one of their “alternate agreement”.
Even though the reader gets the sense that Edward interprets the “relationship” on a completely different level than that of Bella, their lack of communication often finds Bella hurling insults and accusations at Edward.  These instances lead to some of the most humorous dialogue of the story.
Ooza often showcases these two struggling for the upper hand—whether it be in a conversation, a shared activity, or in the bedroom.  At times it appears that Bella has won, but more often than not Edward will best her, and he is victorious. It is often during these exchanges that Ooza demonstrates the fine art of subtle humor.  Their lack of true communication leads the reader through some extremely funny exchanges as these two attempt to navigate the slippery slope of defining the true nature of their arrangement—all the while neither of them wishing to show their hand or opening themselves up to vulnerability.
I have actually only shared a brief glimpse inside the rare gem of “Adore, Adore”.  The story is currently at six chapters; however, with each chapter posting the story becomes more intriguing and humorous, additionally revealing and touching.
Ooza attached the following disclaimer to the second chapter………..

“As with the original one-shot, this installment was written for the sole purpose of dirty smut. I do plan on adding more little glimpses of Edward and Bella's future together; however, this will not be a story in the traditional sense with in-depth plots and regular updates. It's kind of my getaway when I need a break from all that.”

I really think Ooza sells herself short.  The plot, although not as in depth as one often finds in some posted fics, Ooza does not disappoint with regard to the characters.  She does not jump in with a lot of background with regard to Edward and Bella, but reveals (in a most unique fashion) the true nature of the characters as the story progresses.  She does not fail in delivering the necessary background information for the reader to enjoy each chapter posting, and she provides the necessary amount of scene setting for the reader to comprehend the story.  Most importantly, the sexy times are…let me see, let me see, oh yeah damn hot!  I gotta say, there are plenty of sexy, sexy scenes to keep the reader entertained.
This fiction has captured me from the first time I discovered it one evening last winter while trolling FanFiction.Net for something to read.  The short summary drew me in, and once I finished reading the posted chapters, I was hooked!  I have read and re-read this fiction too many times to count.  I continue to laugh through each re-read; and whenever Ooza posts a new chapter, I find myself reading from the beginning.  Perusing some of the reviews left by fellow readers, it is abundantly clear that “Adore,Adore” currently has a rabid and loyal following.    I sincerely hope that by reading this review, that it will encourage others that have not read “Adore,Adore”, to give it a read.  I assure you, you will not be disappointed.

TLS Fics of the Week 10/22 - 10/28/2012: TLS Honors Just4Ale

We have a special treat for you all this week. As most of you know, the fandom lost a beloved member, Just4Ale, the first week in October. TLS wants you to know that our hearts go out to each and every one of you that were a part of her life each day. She was loved by many and will be remembered by all.

When things like this happen, it puts into perspective the friendships we've all made here- and they come to mean so much more when we are shown first hand, the examples of just how short life can be. For many of us this isn't just a fandom, it's a family, and when we lose one- whether we know them or not- we all feel it. We are blessed to have a small piece of Just4Ale that she left behind, in the form of a story: Tunes With Tony Masen.by Just4Ale.

This week, Twilover76 placed first in our poll for her amazing story, No Ordinary Proposal. Since we only feature one review each week, Twilover76 asked that we please honor Just4Ale, in her place. We were  honored to fulfill her request and we ask that if you didn't get a chance to know Just4Ale while she was here, maybe you can take a day to get to know her wonderful story, Tunes With Tony Masen.

With Love,
PAWsPeaches

Tunes With Tony Masen

When I was asked to review this story in honor and remembrance of Just4Ale, I had to take a moment to reign in the emotions.

And then I asked myself how I should play this review. Should I reflect on Ale’s presence in the fandom? Should I focus solely on the greatness that is TWTM?

Then I said, screw it. I’m doing both.

Because really, there’s so much of Ale in Tunes that you can’t have one without the other.

I read Tunes back around 2010 and it was still updating on a regular basis. I think it was the fourth story I read. It was really the first time I’d ever read an older Edward paired with a younger Bella and quite frankly, I was a little freaked out by that. But then again, I wasn’t the seasoned fic reader I am today *snickers*.

Imagine listening in to a late night radio show just to hear the velvety tones of your favorite DJ, Tony Masen. Imagine that you call nightly to answer his 1970’s rock trivia questions only for it to turn into off-air conversations.

Imagine if Tony Masen isn’t at all what he seems?

The story follows Bella as she uncovers why people would be going after her best friends and why, ultimately, they’d want her dead. Ale leads us through several twists and turns, all ending in the discovery of who Tony Masen, seemingly innocuous DJ, really is. And, by the way, the banter between them is stellar...
He turned forward again. "You'll find out soon enough. Don't worry, darlin'," he said in that bedroom voice, giving me a sly side-glance, "you're in good hands. We're going to get very, very close."
Another confusing statement I didn't want to think about. I needed to change the subject. "So," I said, looking around, "how far can we get in this? As far as fast escapes go, we seemed to be plodding along."
"It'll get us where we need to be."
"But if those goons come back around…"
"We're fine, Izzy," he said, as he steered the boat to the right, staying near the San Francisco side of the Bay.
I turned to face outward and tried to remember the overall Bay Area layout. Where was he going? At a certain point down South, the Bay ended and you hit land. Besides, at our pace, those guys could circle around and find us in short order. "You're gonna need a bigger boat," I muttered, doing my best Roy Schneider imitation.
"It's not the size of the boat, sweetheart, it's the motion of the ocean.
Although, I think I have a pretty decent boat size."
I whirled around, my mouth hanging open again. "I can't believe you just said that!"
"I'm just talking about boats here," he said, trying to pull off that innocent act again.
"Oh, come on, that's blatant innuendo, on top of everything else you've already said!"
He bit his bottom lip and gave me a cocky grin. "Fuck, you're fun to tease now that I know what to do."
I scoffed. "We haven't been together for a day and you already know my tells?"
"Your tell-" he began and then stopped himself. He raised an eyebrow and his eyes scanned my body slowly, making his way down and then back up to meet my gaze. "Well, you weren't easy to read at first, but your tone and body language give a lot away. Not to mention that adorable blush of yours."
His look was unnerving and I started turning pink. Crap!
 "See what I mean?"
"You'd be the first person to tell me that," I said, trying to minimize my embarrassment. "Aside from my ridiculous blushing, everyone says I give almost nothing away."
His eyes shifted to look ahead again. "Maybe I'm the first person who's really paid attention. Or the first with whom you've let your guard down."
I frowned. That didn't make sense. Tony was the one person in my life where my guard should have been up in a big way.

This Bella is strong, resourceful, and quite sure of herself. All refreshing characteristics for a fic Bella, in my opinion.

The story is a wonderful adventure, complete with mystery, romance, and a cast of richly developed support characters that very few fic authors know how to pull off.

And in all of it, Ale’s personality and love of music shines through the entire story with a great soundtrack.

To me, Tunes is one of the fics that are part of the classics. It’s one of the few I would rec to someone just starting out reading fanfic... a must read.

On a side note, the entire fandom lost a great soul and presence with her passing. Everyone who has had any type of interaction with her, whether through Twitter, Facebook, emails, meet-ups, and/or Comic Cons, has been touched by her sweetness, kindness, humor, and strength. She loved fan fiction, she loved the fandom, and she loved life... and she fought for it, hard. In the end though, Heaven gained an angel, and we all lost a friend.

We honor her memory by reading and rereading her stories, and remembering her positive energy in the fandom. Ale, we will sorely miss you.

Love you, girl.

TLS Staff Fic Pick Of The Week! Jaime Arkin shares her pick this week

Love Is The End by phoebes promise
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/6445022/1/Love-is-the-End

If he had only spoken the right words at the right time she would be his forever. Instead, they ache, love and long for each other in silence. A bittersweet love story desperately searching for a happily ever after.

It's my turn to share my must read fic, and while I have a couple that I would put on that list, Love is the End by phoebes.promise tops them all.  Let me first just say that I have to disclose that this story is written by my writing partner so I'm a tad bit biased, but it's such a beautifully told story that everyone needs to experience.

Phoebe has an incredible talent at weaving a story and making you feel each and every ounce of love, hate, anger, disappointment, sadness and ultimately, happiness.  Yes, this story has all of that and more.

The unique way this story is told though is what really makes it one of my favorites. Told, for the most part, in Edward's point of view, we, as the reader, get bits and pieces of the history surrounding Bella and Edward.  With each chapter you are brought just a little bit more into the fold, learning about them and about their pasts and the many ways life can get in the way.  The prologue will grip you immediately and not let go, and even though you can tell it's going to hurt... because it will... the beauty of the storytelling is why you should stay.

"Yes, Edward… Look at me!" She screamed, turning around. I swung my legs over the side of the bed and stood up in front of her.

"I'm a thirty year old widow, madly in love with my best friend who happens to be a married man. I've loved you for a lifetime, but you've never been mine."

She reached for me as her shouting morphed into an agonizing whisper, "I want to wake up to your gorgeous face and have sex before the sun rises. I want to make your favorite dinner and pour your favorite wine. And I want to listen to you read fairytales to our babies every single night for the rest of our lives."

A familiar pain tore through my chest as I listened to her. She was broken from the past, needing our new beginning. She deserved so much more than a year of clandestine traveling and late night phone calls. She'd consumed me since I was eighteen years old. I'd loved her as long as she'd loved me and then some. I wrapped my arms around her tiny, trembling body and laid her back on the bed underneath me.

"Please stop leaving me," she begged and wrapped her legs around my waist as I pushed into her.

I framed her face with my hands, running my thumbs underneath her jaw. Pressing my forehead to hers, I thrust into her long, deep and hard; filling her completely with the body and soul that belonged only to her.

"It was supposed to be us…" Bella whimpered against my lips.

"I know, baby. I know."

Love is the End deals with some heavy topics... death and cheating are the biggies, but it's done in a completely believable and realistic manner.  Life isn't always pretty and perfect and this story grabs onto that mantra and hangs tight.  But buried inside this shell of angst, there are bits and pieces of absolute beauty.

Bella was breathless and beautiful trying to compose herself. Her thin, white nightgown was bunched up around her waist and seductively hanging off one shoulder. One breast was exposed to me as the other was barely hidden by the transparent material. My eyes swept over her perfect body as I started to unbutton my shirt. Finally undressed, I joined her on the bed and smoothed her long hair away from her face. My fingers traced her cheekbone, down her jaw and back to her lips. She pressed her face into my hand and closed her eyes.

"You're here." She whispered.

or this ...

A few quiet, thoughtful moments passed. I watched the shuffle of white shoes, sensing pity, but not judgment, not there.

"What can I do, Bella? Tell me."

"Nothing. Nothing!" I regretted it, before I spoke it.

"Don't, Bella…" He broke.

"You should go, Edward."

"Go where? Into the fucking party or where, Bella? Goddammit, tell me…" He demanded.

"I'm trying to protect you. It's too hard," I whispered.

"Shit, Bella. When hasn't it been hard? I fucking love you," he shouted, exasperated.

"Sam needs me whole, for once. He's having surgery soon and then starting intensive therapy. I can't just meet you in the basement for a blow job…" My ache fueled my anger.

We exhaled… together, seeking composure, waiting to wake from the nightmare."So, this is it?" He forced, barely.

"I love you. Edward…"

If you're looking for a wonderful journey ... not just a story to read, then Love is the End is the perfect choice!  This is complete so there is no need to wait for updates! head on over and start it now, I promise you won't be able to stop! Plus, I guarantee some of the best review replies EVER when you let her know how much you adore her writing!

To  pay a debt she owes her father, Isabella Swan starts a new job as a prison tutor. Edward Cullen, with his own debts, is the Punk Ass inmate in her class.  Can they fight the odds and their dangerous attaction to learn from each other?  A/H, Lemons, OOC Rated: Fiction M

Review by:  TypoKween

To Jaxon22, thanks for being one of the reasons I even started writing twific.

Wow. Where does one start when they’re about to review a fic like this? I’m too intimidated to even touch this fic in terms of an opinion, let alone a review. So let’s hope I do this justice, or just hope I survive it before I fangirl myself to death.

Me right now:

WARNING: Me and Punkassward have the continuous use of the “f-word” in common. You have been warned.

First of all, I must admit that as someone who has worked in Corrections for the past six years, I had to force myself to remember that a.) this is a work of fiction; b.) it’s not California; and c.) I am not Peaches and Cullen is not real so I cannot kidnap him and take him home with me. So once I looked past certain contradictions from my real life experiences inside several different institutions and what I read in this fic, I was a hooked fish and have not let go since.

Let’s start with a simple synopsis of “A Pound of Flesh” by Jaxon22. Bella Swan is a woman who has seen her share of tragedy—specifically her childhood where she was witness to her father’s brutal death. A promise made between father and daughter moments before his demise, is what starts the course for Bella’s future in helping those less fortunate, and for Bella, that through teaching. Fast forward several years later and you have Bella about to embark on bringing truth to her words. It is at Arthur Kill, a Correctional Facility in Staten Island, where Bella will start her new job as an English Literature tutor and come face to face with her biggest and most life changing challenge yet—Edward Cullen. Who, aside from dealing with his own dark demons, ends up sharing something with Bella much deeper than an instant connection, attraction, or kinship. They also share a past.

Right off the bat, when Cullen comes into the story he is portrayed as a giant punk and a major ass.  But underneath you know he’s misunderstood and hot tempered, but come on, what hot as fuck Edward isn’t these things? His character comes alive with sharp imagery and excellent dialogue that stays true to his character. He is consistent in his behavior—something that most stories seem to lack nowadays—and it stays this way throughout, even when Bella is brought into the picture. Her natural innocence with a slight edge of defiance and stubbornness is the perfect setup for Cullen to finally meet his match.

Here is an excerpt of Cullen’s first impression of Bella:

…finding the delectable Miss Swan, arms crossed over her chest, eying him in a way that made his hackles immediately rise and his fists clench. She, like every other fucker not in blue overalls, thought she was better than him. He didn't have to be a mind reader to know it. And she may have hid it well behind her sexy blouse and heels but she was just like them. They were all the same.

And here is an excerpt of Bella’s first impression of Cullen:

She had seen the way that he had taken in the other students in her class and she didn't like it. He was obviously an arrogant jerk who saw himself above everyone in her class – including her and she was immediately irritated by it. This was her classroom – not his. Her hostility surprised her but the adrenaline was still pumping through her body after the almost fight and the last thing she needed was a cocky fucker like Cullen adding to it. No matter how good looking he was...

Let the fuck-hawt banter begin. Suffice to say, I was beyond excited that this was not a “love at first sight” fic. There is no love lost between these two and in fact it takes one epic blow up before the two of them finally come to a compromise. One that leads to the revelation that Bella is the same girl from his past who he’s been unable to forget. It is at this point where Bella is from then on more or less referred to as “Peaches” to Cullen, because their pasts connect them in the most intimate way. If you’ve read this fic, you know what it is, if you haven’t—well what are you waiting for? Go read and find out!

Edward keeps his prior acquaintance of Bella to himself at first, and a bond eventually forms between the two of them as they work together as student and teacher. All the way until Edward finally makes early parole. Then comes the good parts, the friendship that leads to an attraction that burns right off the pages—or, uh, screen. Parts like:

"I know I shouldn't…and I don't usually kiss…but fuck, I want to." He trailed his thumb slowly across her mouth. "I want to find out what your top lip tastes like." He licked his own, "And then compare it to the bottom." He exhaled heavily as his cock twitched in his jeans. "I'm desperate to know if your tongue tastes of peaches."

Isabella's eyes fluttered at his words. "We…I…please," she murmured. "Don't." The word slipped from her softly but it made her stomach clench all the same. She was amazed she had the energy to utter the one syllable at all.

With his eyes still trained on the shit hot bee sting mouth before him Cullen asked, "Would it be so bad?"

He leaned in closer, his breath washing over Isabella's face like a lusty fog.

Everything in Isabella's body was surging towards the gorgeous man in front of her. Her pussy purred, her pupils dilated and her heart was beating so fast she was glad they weren't far from the ER. But she knew that they were about to cross a line: A huge fuck-off line that had her career written all over it. This was bad. This was very, very bad.

But why do I feel so good?

"Cullen," she whispered again, in one last ditch attempt to stop what she knew in her heart was inevitable. She had to at least try and fight it, right? "We can't do this."

"I know," he answered, cupping the side of her face while tilting his head. "But I'm tired of trying to stay away from you, Peaches."

He moved closer. "Just one taste," he whispered, "Just one. That's all I want."

And then it happened.

Isabella's eyes closed as his lips touched hers. Oh. My. God.

She remained frozen as their mouths connected. She could feel his palm on her cheek and his nose against hers. The breath that was coming down it was long and steady as though he was in a trance, which wasn't far from the truth.

Cullen couldn't believe how soft she felt. Her mouth was fucking perfect and tasted even better. More like whipped cream than peaches. He smiled inwardly. What a perfect combination. After a moment he opened his own mouth to see if she would respond. Fucking Christ, he wanted her to. She did. Oh so slightly, but he could feel her breath push into him. He couldn't help the sigh that came from him as her sweetness swilled around his mouth.

Their lips moved together, so slowly, gently, and tentatively. But Cullen wanted more.

He cupped the other side of her face - denim jacket forgotten on the floor - and pressed his lips harder to hers. His hips moved forward of their own volition and he hissed as his cock found her soft stomach through his jeans. His mouth opened wider as it twitched in pleasure and he groaned. He'd never been so fucking hard. My God, it almost hurt. He wanted to feel more of her. He wanted her to touch him.

Are you still with me? Fuck, I don’t even know if I’m with me—and it’s just a kiss! One simple kiss and already you think to yourself, Jesus what will it be like when these finally bang? Yes, I said bang—because when you fuck Cullen the term “go out with a bang” has never held more truth. Everything about these two is hot and sweaty and oh-so-damn-good.

I started this review with the intention of focusing on the writing style—which is just amazing. Let me tell you, the descriptions are vivid in a way that doesn’t just put you in the setting, but it feels like a scene in a movie. As if you have the director and cast and crew all working together to bring you that one very intense scene on a giant theater screen. But as I continued on, looking for my favorite parts of the fic, I realized that the intense fucking attraction between Cullen and Bella burns my motherfucking retinas.

I feel the need to include in this review that every time I look into the fic to find excerpts to paste into this review I keep getting caught up in the damn fic. What the fucking fuck? I don’t even want to write this anymore, I want to keep reading stuff like this:

He ground his hips into her again as they both moved down to the floor and placed a soft kiss on her shoulder. Her response was to lean her head back onto his shoulder and curl her arms upwards and behind his neck.

Yes, baby. I want it too. So fucking much.

Cullen growled into her neck as she pulled on his hair. They were moving from side to side, Peaches' ass perfectly placed in his crotch as he moved his hands up and down the sides of her body. When his palms reached the edge of her dress on her thighs, he was bold enough to let his fingertips dance across her soft skin. She gripped his hair tighter and moaned.

Fuck's sake, he needed her naked. He needed her wet and open and crying out his name.

"I want you," he murmured into her ear, before placing another kiss under her lobe. "Goddamn it, Bella, I want you so fucking much."

She moved her face further around so that they were nose to nose, looking him straight in the eye and smiled like a fucking vixen. "I want you too," she whispered.

Taxi for two motherfuckers.

Cullen spun Peaches around, grasping her small hand in his and pulled her fast and hard towards a dark corner of the club. He eyeballed the asshole that was standing near where he wanted at in such a way, that the dude shifted as though his ass were on fire.

Cullen pulled Peaches to his side and pushed her against the wall, nose to nose, his hands against the wall at either side of her head.

"Say it again," he demanded as he watched her lick her lips.

"What?" she asked; her eyes wide and glazed from whatever she had been drinking.

"Tell me that you want me," he ordered. His heart was racing and his cock was throbbing with every beat of the music. "I need to hear that shit, Bella. You have no fucking idea."

"I want you," she replied in a firm, determined voice that sent shivers up Cullen's spine.

This brings me to a very important point that I believe Jaxon22 should be forced to post at the beginning of this fic, hella at the beginning of every chapter for that matter. It should read: WARNING! May cause spontaneous combustion of your panties—your mother’s panties—and even your great grandmother’s.

The detail is skin tingling, the imagery and dialogue makes your girls bits buzz deliciously. Don’t even lie to me, you love when that happens. Need more convincing? How about this scene (which is one of my fav everrrr):

"I want you."

"Say it."

"I love you."

Isabella screamed out in sublime pleasure, as Cullen slammed into her so hard that her entire body shifted across the bed. He held her, motionless, breathing heavily. It was deep. Oh, fuck, he was so deep and he filled every inch and more of her. She clung onto the bed sheets, tearing them from the edges of the mattress, as he pulled back and began to pound her, grunting with each drive of his hips. Their flesh slapped together, and each sharp clap became punctuated with cries of more from deep within her.
Never had Isabella felt so out of control, so wanton, and insane with lust and love for the man that was fucking her.

She wanted him like that forever, solid and firm as he was. She hated that their time together was ending. She hated that they couldn't stay at the beach house forever and make love everyday without the fear of being interrupted or discovered. In almost twenty-four hours, they would be together again, in the library, trying to behave as though the weekend hadn't happened. Isabella's heart fractured. She would find it impossible. She needed to be near him, touching him, kissing him, and holding him.

Now that he knew what she felt for him, seeing him again as her 'student' would be virtually impossible. She wanted more.

"More!" she pleaded.

"Yes, Bella," he groaned in reply, holding her so securely that her hips began to ache deliciously. "You feel so good." He pulled her closer, as his hips surged forward. "Dammit, I can't get close enough, baby.Fuck!"

He was hitting parts of her that had never been touched before, parts that burned and screamed for release. The pleasure she was feeling teetered on discomfort, but Isabella was too far gone to tell Cullen to ease off. She didn't want him to. She wanted to feel how much he wanted her. She meant it when she had told him that his touch - and not his words - was all she needed. His body was his tell.

His body told her what he desired and craved. Her. His hands touched her reverently when they shared the quiet, but held her so close, as though he feared she would disappear, when they made love. Those moments told her more than his words ever could. His eyes would look at her as though she was precious, breakable, but would then spark with crazed lust when she was bare before him.

Whether he did love her was inconsequential because the feel of him inside of her, the sounds and movement of his body with hers, was more than enough. Along with the prized journal that he had shown her, she knew that he was in as deep as she was.

He tilted his hips suddenly, and ground into her. His voice came in stuttered gasps and clipped groans.
"I'm...fuck, I'm nearly there, Bella." He moved his hand back to her clit and rubbed frantically. "Get there. Please. Get there with me."

Fucking shit—I’M there with you! Seriously, does this girl write amazing lemons or what? There is no or what, that was a trick question. Cullen’s possessiveness and passion is enough to set even the reader on fire. There is a sense of realism between these two that makes the reader feel what they are feeling. Bella is quite possibly one of the most understanding women I have ever known, because she handles Cullen in a way that most probably wouldn’t be able to. His temper, his lack of trust, his inability to talk about himself or express himself in deeply emotional ways.

That is not to say that Cullen is completely closed off, because he loves Bella more than he’s ever loved anyone and more than he even thinks he is capable of. I love this fic because the character growth is natural and never forced or rushed. Cullen starts out closed off and gradually begins to open up because he finally meets someone who understands him and has all the patience in the world. There is no way you can read this fic and not see that these two crazy kids really DO complete each other.

She was so small and fragile lying next to him and yet, she was the strongest, most determined, and infallible of the two of them. Cullen had never considered himself weak before. After all the shit that he had been through in his life; the places, people, and things that he had seen, it was a fucking miracle that he was normal or had any strength of character at all.

Yet, with Bella, he felt helpless and exposed.

Because, the fact was, the tiny, spectacular woman at his side had the potential to cause him more pain than anyone else he had ever known. Although he was infuriatingly incapable of expressing his feelings for her into words he knew, without any shred of doubt, she had his heart, unequivocally and unconditionally, in the palms of her hands.

She always had.

This fic has so much more going on than just Edward and Bella, or Cullen and his Peaches, but I just feel that the heart of the story is the love between these two. It’s obvious that they’re practically destined to be together. It’s really amazing how well Jaxon22 is able to fit all these wonderful pieces together.

With beautiful words, brilliant descriptions, careful and witty dialogue, “A Pound of Flesh” is one of those rare gems that I feel represents the raw and true talent that fanfiction can bring forward. Filled with strong supporting characters, great plot twists, fascinating story structure, and hot as fuck lemons… This fic will just all around blow your fucking mind.
