TLS Fics of the Week 9/28 - 10/4/2011: Reviews are up!

A Taste of Honey by SoapyMayhem
Ex-Senator Edward Cullen has denied himself the pleasure of living the BDSM lifestyle for years now. Shortly after deciding to seek a new sub, he meets artist Isabella Swan in the most unexpected place - her high school graduation! Lemons/DirtyWords/BDSM
Twilight - Rated: M

Review by: Kitty Vuitton

Meet Senator Edward Cullen.  He is sexy, powerful, and wealthy and he has a dark side.  Meet Bella Swan.  She is a high school graduate, aspiring artist, shy, and very innocent.  Spending the summer painting at Edwards home, Bella is about to learn just how mysterious this Senator really is.

My overactive imagination, coupled with my past experiences, gave me a nice little bank of fantasies that I stored in my cranium, but they were nothing when compared to the real thing. Far too much time had passed since I'd taken control of a woman whose sole purpose was to submit to my will - my pleasure. Maybe I sounded like a horny, unfeeling, bastard, but I'd waited long enough. I wanted warmth, silky soft skin, and a tight little hole I could use whenever, however I pleased.

Edward is asked by his father to fill in for him at St. Mary’s Catholic School to present Ms. Isabella Swan the Elizabeth Masen Cullen Scholarship for Excellence in Art.  The moment Edward lays eyes on Bella; he knows that he is in deep trouble.

She was finally in front of me when I was assaulted by her scent, and Jesus Christ, did she smell fucking innocent and sweet. She was honey, warm peaches, and all-girl – heaven and fucking hell. I stifled a groan and pressed my cock against the podium to relieve a little of the tension.

As Bella thanks Edward for the scholarship, her shy and submissive response just furthers his desire to have her.  Not willing to let her get away, Edward forms a plan to host Bella at his house over the summer so she can paint a mural in his office.  In order to convince Bella’s father that this arrangement is purely business related, he offers to pay Bella to paint and moves his sister, Alice, into his house as well to make everyone more comfortable.  Of course, not all is as it seems.

I knew if Isabella and Alice ended up at the estate all summer, there was no way I could even consider bringing a new sub to play, not to mention the fact that my fantasies of Isabella alone were almost enough to ruin me for all other women.
I wanted her near me this summer, but even more desperately, I wanted Isabella for my Sub. If I couldn't have her, I'd enjoy her company and wait to get a new Sub when she was gone. I would undoubtedly need to find release while she was staying with me, if I couldn't have her. I knew it wouldn't be hard to slip away a few weekends here and there to make a visit to one of Onyx's private playrooms. I was certain that regular releases and play sessions would be needed to keep me from acting inappropriately if Isabella didn't respond to my advances.
I knew I was getting ahead of myself since she hadn't even agreed yet, but I felt pretty certain that Isabella would say yes to my offer, and I would need to be prepared in case she did. As far as my plan to make Isabella mine was concerned, well that I had a lot less certainty about. I was relying completely on faith that, not only were my instincts about her submissive nature correct, but also that she'd find me attractive and be open to trusting me to share my definition of pleasure with her. There were a ton of factors that needed to fall into place, and I had to admit that the odds were stacked against me. I figured the best I could hope for would be that my plan of slow seduction would ease her in and make her more comfortable and willing to please.

The first six chapters are told from Edwards POV, but this last update gave the readers an insight into just what Bella is really thinking.  While her quiet behavior leads us to believe she is innocent and reserved, we quickly find out that Bella’s thoughts and feelings towards Edward are far more seductive.

Edward was a VERY beautiful man, and it was one thing for me to continue my little teenage fantasy of being Mrs. Edward Cullen, but a whole other thing to start deluding myself into thinking a powerful and sexy man like him would ever be interested in a blushing school girl.
I had magazine and newspaper clippings, as well as recorded political ads, and TV interviews – it was quite an impressive, but pathetically juvenile collection and not something I ever wanted Edward to be aware of. I was sure if he knew of my… obsession, he'd probably want a restraining order.

So what happens when Bella overhears Edward in his bedroom late one night moaning her name as he pleasures himself?  Does the scared and innocent Bella run in fear, or does the naughty and lustful Bella take over and listens through the doorway?  Edward’s words awaken something deep within her, and she knows that once that door is open, there is no going back.

Something in my brain told me I should be thoroughly repulsed by the knowledge that I was the star in some old guy's perverted sex fantasies, but the flame of desire burning between my legs was telling me something completely different - Get in there before he finishes!
Aching like never before, my hand trailed slowly to the waistband of my shorts and into my panties. I slipped it lower quickly, and ran my index finger through my wet slit, spreading the moisture I found in abundance.

Review by: Robsmyyummy Cabanaboy

I’m sure we’ve all been there at one time or another in our lives. You look in the mirror and give yourself the pep talk that it’s time to make a change. Your transformation may need to happen mentally, physically or financially; ultimately though, you’ve resigned yourself that this change needs to occur in order for you to be the best person you can be.

In “Cliché” that’s exactly what Suzie55’s Bella has decided to do for herself. The story opens on the final day of school before Christmas vacation of her senior year. Bella has written in her purple notebook a mission statement that she vows “to be who I really want to be”. Bella also includes varying statements on attempting contact with Edward Cullen. Basically, she’s hot for Edward and would love it if he would ultimately reciprocate. *Sigh*…wouldn’t we all?

Poor Bella is bumbling and graceless. Silly word vomit and unavoidable clumsy movements are only exacerbated by hooligans such as Emmett McCarty and Mike Newton.  Couple those with mean girls like Jessica Stanley and it is painfully obvious that Bella has MUCH room for improvement if she ever has the hope of catching Edward’s eye. But just when we think that Bella is dreaming the impossible dream, the clouds lift:

As I push the exit doors open thirty-seven minutes later, I hear, "Hey bird girl. Do you eat your own kind, like a cannibal at Christmas?" Mike Newton is an annoying gnat, a pest who somehow became popular, but loves to make my life more hellish than it is already. He started swapping out bird for Swan in the fourth grade and it has been relentless since. Yeah, he's lacking in the brain department.

I wish I had the nerve to say something witty or clever, some great comeback to put him in his place. Instead, I duck my head, resting my chin against the books in my hands and walk a little faster.

"You're a real jackass, you know that." I look back over my shoulder as I hear his voice. Edward Cullen shoves Mike in the chest as he walks by.

"WHAT?" Mike says, raising his hands in the air, acting surprised.

Edward just shakes his head at him then continues tossing his keys from hand to hand.

Since I'm too busy watching Edward who is within touching distance now, I'm not watching in front of me and don't see the drop that I step right off of. My books go flying right out of my hands as my self-preservation skills run for cover, letting me fend for myself. Right when I expect to be hitting the pavement, I don't.

"Are you alright, Bella?"

And just when Bella thinks she has made a supreme ass of herself, guess who shows up at her house after school?

"Hello, sir, Chief Swan. Bella." Edward is hesitant almost nervous in his steps towards us.

"Mr. Cullen, what can I do ya for?"

He holds up a purple notebook that I identify right away. My heart starts beating out of my chest and I suddenly feel sweaty and hot though it hit the low fifties today. My notebook. My purple notebook. My purple notebook that has my mission written inside of it.

My turtleneck is constricting around my neck and as I tug at it trying to get the cool air into my lungs, Edward stops in front of me with his hand outstretched. The notebook is between us, me silently horrified and hoping that he didn't open it and read anything I had written inside of it.

"I think this belongs to you," he says, his face serious, taking me in, concerned or curious. I can't tell because I'm still trying to just breathe.

We are seven chapters into “Cliché” and don’t yet know if Edward actually opened Bella’s notebook and stumbled upon her mission statement. But Edward clearly is showing himself to be a good guy, not a typical meathead who can’t be bothered with the “little people”.

As I finished reading the first chapter, I immediately thought of this Edward as Jake Ryan of “Sixteen Candles” fame. You can imagine how excited I was when Suzie55’s Author’s Note at the end of chapter three had her dub her lead guy as “JakeRyanWard”! The totally popular, hot as hell, untouchable guy who never in your wildest dreams would ever even notice you is suddenly here defending you to his supposed friends and seeking you out to return something that belongs to you. In later chapters he’s actually DISCUSSING you aloud to his friends and then goes home to dig through the yearbook to seek out your old class pictures!

In chapter three, Suzie55 lets us hear from Edward:

"What do you know about Bella Swan?" I throw that out as casually as I can, hoping he doesn't question me more than I'm comfortable discussing.

...I plan to get to know her a lot better and definitely before school ends. I will see her eyes and verify firsthand what that other color is while I'm at it, too. That means I'll be up close and personal with the pretty girl and that makes me smile.

Just one more week of holiday break before my mission to get Bella Swan's attention officially launches.

While home for Christmas break, Bella discovers that she will now have a new stepsister, Rosalie, who instantaneously takes Bella under her wing to help in transforming this awkward duckling into a beautiful swan.

Rosalie comes back to Forks with Bella and the two are ready to start the new semester at school with the boys hopefully falling at their feet. Bella prays that her new wardrobe and hairstyle will be enough to catch the eye of Edward in order to complete her mission. On the first day back, Bella and Rosalie definitely turn some heads, including Edward’s…but is he happy with the changes he sees in Bella? Or is he just confused and concerned by the 180 degree about face in her outward appearance?

These seven chapters have me thinking of this as having elements of “Grease” and “Sixteen Candles”. She wants the guy and thinks she knows how to go about getting him. He wants to get to know her too, but does he need all the changes she has demanded of herself? Only time will tell. Won’t you join me and dive into “Cliché”?  I’m certain Suzie55’s Bella and JakeRyanWard will not disappoint! “Cliché” updates on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Masen Days by Purelyamuse
3rd Place Winner in the Boys on Boards contest! Now an EXPANDED multi-chap! Bella meets Masen at the local skate park. He's a quiet, mysterious loner. She wants to help him, love him even. Will he let her? Or will he skate away like he always does? AH Twilight - Rated: M

Review by: OnebraveLamb Fanfic

No matter how many years it has been, everyone can remember that one guy from high school. It seems that in Masen Days, Bella found her ‘one guy’ on a skateboard. Masen is a quiet guy, kind of intense and brooding at first. Which, c’mon on now, is a major turn on for most females, especially of the high school age. Bella’s infatuated and struck by Masen’s quiet demeanor and sea-green eyes.

Can’t say I blame the girl, really. Masen seems to be an enigma. Gorgeous, no doubt. But there are no girls hanging all over him. In fact, he seems to be alone most of the time. And, he seems to prefer it that way.

Now, if you’re like me, while reading through the first few chapters, little things might jump off the screen and make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. You just know something is coming. And purelyamuse doesn’t let you down. I feel it’s almost serendipitous that I’m the one giving you this review, because much of what Masen is dealing with behind closed doors, I lived through myself.

In chapter two, Bella’s keen powers of observation give us a small glimpse that something might be amiss.

By the time we're in English, I'm blatantly staring, no longer caring that he may find me out. It's not like he'd say anything about it. He might acknowledge it with some gesture, but I could handle that. It wouldn't be too mortifying.

My eyes rove over his face: his nose is slightly freckled, and his neck is long and lick-able. I follow the seam of his shirt sleeve and smile when it gives way to a firm bicep that I love to see flexed amid skating tricks. I wonder what it would feel like to have his arm draped over me.

Using both hands, he tucks his shaggy hair behind his ears, breaking my concentration. That's when I notice something odd – the top of his right forearm is bruised and scabbed over.

He took quite a few tumbles the day before, but if I were asked where he was injured I would have guessed the underside of his left forearm. It's quite curious because I'm generally very observant, but I guess I was wrong. Maybe he hurt both of his arms. Either way I'd happily kiss his injuries better. I'd happily kiss anything better. I don't think I'll ever get a chance, though, since he doesn't talk to anyone, let alone me.

This passage made me perk up and take notice, much like Bella. And since we, as readers, know that she did indeed see his injuries gives you a small pause. At least, it did me.

What’s going on with Masen? Oh, dear God, don’t let it be what I think it is.

Those were my exact thoughts.

I hit the next button with a little trepidation. I love a story that takes real-life situations, even the worst of the worst, and opens your eyes to them. But again, some things just hit a little too close to home. Never fear, though. Courage can bring you wonderful things. Like this:

I read with one hand and play with his hair with the other. It's soft, the waves springy. I tug at it playfully, and the corners of his lips pull up when I do. He's absolutely stunning when happy. I wonder if he's like this with anyone else. Come to think of it, I don't ever really see him interact with other people. Not really. The guys don't talk much.

I smile at the thought and allow myself to feel special while I get to play with Masen's hair. After an hour he gets up and motions for me to do the same. I do, and he reaches around, twisting my hair and shoving my pencil through it. The sloppy bun comes undone immediately, and he shrugs, adding, "Looks better down anyway."

The blossoming friendship between Bella and Edward leaves you with a smile on your face. At least, it made me smile. You begin to find yourself cheering Bella on, telling her to just keep doing whatever it is that she’s doing. You find yourself wishing for the brief Masen smiles, just as much as she does.

But again, you can’t let your guard down. Because, if you do, you might miss the little things. The little things that really aren’t little at all.

We're cleaning up our small mess when the garage door growls. Masen's eyes dart toward the kitchen door, which leads to the garage, then back to me. He's panicked, I think.

"It's just my dad," I offer to ease his anxiety, but that seems to make it worse.

"I'm gonna go. See ya at school," he says and bolts for the front door, closing it without making a single noise. I hear the telltale sounds of the wheels clicking on the cracks of the pavement almost immediately.

Now, most might just shrug that off as typical teen-aged boy behavior. Who wants to be caught unsupervised with someone’s daughter? Especially by the father of said daughter? But Masen isn’t your typical boy, and you get the feeling this isn’t the for the normal reasons.

I can tell you, if you get these little nagging thoughts, that you’re not alone. I was chewing my nails down to the quick, worrying over what exactly is going on with Masen.

So much so that when he finally gives Bella a little insight into his personal life, I almost...almost shut my browser.

"What is it about you?"

"What is what about me?" He says nothing, and I tap my pencil impatiently. I've never been a patient person, but he seems to need it. Unconditional patience or secrecy or something. So, for Masen, I manage. There's something about him too.

"My parents are drunks; Dad's worse than Mom," he announces.

"My dad's an overprotective freak, and my mom acts like a selfish teenager."

"I can't wait to get the hell out of here."

"Me too."

But that would be the virtual version of the juvenile “la la la la, I can’t hear you!”  Indeed I suffered through the same things as Masen in my teens. Reading that snippet, I felt like someone decided to drench me with a bucket of ice water. I won’t lie. I wavered. I’m a self-proclaimed wuss-perv and that’s just with regular heartfail and angst.

Instead, I continued on and I’m glad I did. Not many authors can take such a sensitive subject and do it justice. purelyamuse does. She gives us a stark look at not only how a person living through something like this deals with it, but also a look at the person who cares for, and dare I say, loves the one who’s going through it.

The story is only six chapters in and I’m anxiously waiting to see where purelyamuse will take this. I have massive hope that Bella will be able to help Masen, to be some sort of port in his storm. But I also find myself rooting for Masen’s quiet strength. I find myself praying that he’ll come through this intact and that he’ll allow Bella to be the friend, confidant and loving presence he seems to so desperately need.

He sits on my toilet, his eyes level with my breasts. He cleaned up his face, but his hair is still clotted with blood. I'm completely nervous, but he's asked me to do this, so I will. I think I'd do anything he requested. He has this quiet power over me that I can't explain, but I love it. I'm desperate for it – for him, really.

"I'm not sure how . . ."

He takes the clippers from me and attaches a purple comb to it. "You can't mess it up. Trust me."

"I trust you."

"I trust you too."

This isn’t your typical high school romance and it deals with some tough subject material, but it’s definitely worth the read. purelyamuse uses her words to weave a tale that’s both heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time. That’s talent. There’s no other way to say it.

And, if I’m brave enough to keep reading and cheer both Bella and Masen along, I figure you will be too. So go read, and live for Masen’s smiles along with me.

All the Wild Horses by Elusivetwilight
In her suffocating small hometown, Bella Swan meets widowed Edward Cullen. Can she pull him from the depths of his grief? Is there enough of him left to soothe her clawing loneliness? AUAH E&B. Twilight - Rated: M

Review by: Mina Rivera

Elusivetwilight was the author that introduced me to fanfiction, so I knew I had to write this review as soon as I found out she was one of the picks of the week.

All The Wild Horses is a very emotional story. We have Bella Swan, who had her poor heart broken by the man she thought would never do that to her. She lives alone with her cat Shadow and spends most of her time away from her job with her Momma and Daddy. In a town where everybody knows everybody else’s business, she goes through life with pitiful looks thrown at her on a daily basis. She is a beautiful woman and she is a little skittish because of her past. She really doesn't allow people to get too close, just like a wild horse.
Bella works in a ranch supply store as an accountant and that is where she knows Edward Cullen from.

Edward is the owner of a horse ranch and he spends all of his time working with his horses. He has lost people he loved dearly and he is in mourning. He seems to not be able to move one from that lost. Edward rarely interacts with other people outside of his ranch, it is like his safe zone. It is because of his lack of interactions that he seems to be stuck in his mourning, never moving on.

I watched him amble towards me, glancing at the shelves on either side of him. It was like looking at a different man.
Gone were the fancy duds and polished shiny belt buckle. They were replaced with old jeans and a padded plaid jacket. His expensive boots that shined, even in the photo, were replaced with worn looking work boots. The once clean shaven jaw was hidden under a growth of beard, and his hair was shaggy, hanging over his ears from where it peeked out of his old Stetson.
Most of all, were his eyes. That had to be the biggest contrast. They seemed incredibly haunted, but somehow empty. They were piercing when he settled them on anyone, as if it was painful for him to look them in the eye.
He made his way back to the parts counter, where I was currently set up. I attempted a smile, but knew that it wouldn't be returned. It wasn't out of nastiness, and I wondered if he was just lonely.
"What can I do for you, Mr Cullen?"

So what brings these two together?

A casual encounter outside a grocery store, where Bella’s lack of coordination makes an appearance and loses a battle against a black patch of ice, forces these two to interact. It is such a small moment, but also huge in comparison to their former interactions inside the store.

He set me on my feet again, and furrowed his brows together as he bent to pick up the apples that had escaped. They seemed oddly small in his large work roughened hands.
"I don't think you should drive home. That's all you need is to pass out in front of the wheel. And on nights like this," he indicated the snow falling from the sky, "You need your wits about you."
He dug in his pockets, and pulled out a jingling key ring, "C'mon, I'll take you home."
"What about my truck?"
"You sure as hell ain't gonna drive, honey. And you need to get in and ice your head and chin. Me and the boys will come back for your truck later and drop it off at your house."
I wasn't sure, I felt like a little kid again, thinking maybe I shouldn't take rides from strangers. But this was a small town, and everyone knew everybody else.
Nobody was really a stranger.
I started to walk forward but nearly slipped again, "Jesus honey, you're more unsteady than a new born colt." He stepped forward and wound his arm around my waist, pulling me up against his side.
Something passed between us then, I knew he felt it this time; his eyes sharply locked with mine for an instant, and then looked away.

Surprisingly it is Edward’s gentlemanly ways that opens the airwaves between these two lonely people. A simple phone call is what sets everything into motion.

Edward and Bella’s relationship won’t be easy. Patience, understanding and instinct will be used in order to really understand each other, like taming a wild horse. They are both somehow lost and at the same time trapped in their past, but as they explore their feelings fro each other, they also learn how to let go and move on, together.

Elusivetwilight is an amazing storyteller.  Her story makes you think about it and she gets to the heart of her characters. I’m a big fan of hers and I really love her style.  She doesn't just post a chapter without giving it a great deal of thought.  She really researches what she's writing about, taking us readers on an incredible journey. It is her unique style and thoughtfulness that sets her apart and I feel lucky it was her that popped my fic cherry with her story The Rain Season.

Now go read All The Wild Horses, keep the tisues close by and enjoy the ride... you won’t regret it.

Until next time, xoxo.

TLS Fics of the Week 9/20 - 9/27/2011- Five Star Reviews

Check out what our Five Star Reviewers Evilnat, Edmazing, Dragonfly336, Jaime Arkin and B.Krumova have to say about The Lemonade Stand's Fics of the week, this week.

Wild by peppahlouie
Recently widowed Bella moves to Seattle to start a new life. Reconnecting with her friend, Bella meets Alice's brother, Chef Edward Cullen. Celibate by choice for 2 years, what happens when Edward finds himself undeniably attracted to a sexy new Bella? Twilight - Rated: M

Review By: Evilnat

If you like your stories long and detailed you are going to love Wild.  Peppahlouie’s writing is amazing, with epic chapters and she throws in a few twists to keep us guessing too.  She also has stellar talent for writing about food.   Every chapter centers on food and cooking, with mention of incredible high end cuisine and even the everyday cooking mentioned seems to be a culinary masterpiece.  I’m not much of a cook myself but the food aspect of the story impressed me immensely.

Wild is set in Seattle, Bella has just moved into a loft above a restaurant called Wild, after her husband and father, who are both police officers, are killed on the job.  She wants a new start in a new place and when she reconnects with Alice her whole life changes.  Bella’s got mummy issues and had problems within her marriage to Jake, so she isn’t exactly the most confident woman.  With Alice’s help she gets a job at Wild and a makeover.

This is where she meets Edward; he’s head chef and part owner (with Alice) of Wild.  He’s grumpy and had a rough time with ex-girlfriends in the past, which is the main reason for his current choice to be celibate for the past two years.  He’s also a bit of a food snob and Bella’s talent for cooking impresses him from the start.

"Edward, Bella made those muffins."

Fuck me. I stop chewing and stare at Bella. She has turned deep red and is trying to find something to look at other than me. I take in her appearance this morning. She's not looking grunge today – more like a lumberjack; it's a definite improvement. Her long hair, damp I'm assuming from her morning shower, hangs loose around her shoulders. I understand her apparent nervousness – it's a killer to have a chef taste your food. It's bad enough when you're a chef yourself... I should know, and do.

"Well colour me fucking impressed. What's your secret, Bella? I'm detecting a note of... citrus?"

Her face explodes into a huge smile. What do you know – emo-grunge-lumberjack girl is pretty.

Alice is a major character, not only is she Edward’s sister, but she lives across the hall and works at Wild too.  Another important character is Bella’s mother Renee; she’s someone you will love to hate.  Most of the other regular supporting cast members make an appearance, including some of the Quileute’s.

It’s a very slow burn, taking a long time to get to the first kiss and 30 chapters to get to complete lemons, but so worth it.  Edward and Bella’s relationship is sweet and the use of music to portray their feelings towards each other is a cute touch.  When the lemons finally begin they are hot and well written.

"EDWARD! Oh my god, I love you too... oh my god... I love you, I love you..." I moan as he thrusts into me again and again. And I can feel it building, another orgasm is tightening the coil as the intense pleasure rages through me over and over with every thrust.

"Edward... Edward... I'm going to come again, baby... oh my god..."

"Me too, sweetheart," he pants as his thrusts start to ease in power but last longer, "come with me, Bella... come with me love..."

He reaches between us with one hand and circles my clit with his thumb, and I shriek as I shatter around him again in my third and most powerful climax yet. At the same time, he roars, "JESUSGOD... JESUS FUCKING GOD... YESSSSSS" and I feel his hot jets shoot into me as he pumps deep, holding my hips securely against him and grinding into me.

We collapse on the bed, still joined, Edward turned a little so his weight is on the mattress. We are panting, I'm still squirming from aftershocks and Edward has latched onto my neck, his teeth biting and only just not causing pain.

After a few moments, he lifts himself on his elbow and looks over to find me grinning like a fool. He raises an eyebrow and gives me his sexy smirk. "You liked that, did you, Miss Swan?"

I nod excitedly. "Most definitely, Chef Cullen. Let's do it again!"

Wild has everything: fluff, lemons, a bit of angst and some twists and turns to keep almost any reader happy.  It’s complete with 42 chapters and an epilogue and it has a couple of outtakes at the end too.  Take your time and check it out, it will be worth it.

Taken in the Night by Sheviking
Bella is kidnapped by Edward, the man who has secretly wanted her and watched her from afar. Is it love or merely obsession which motivates him? Bella is about to find out. Rated M for a reason. Twilight - Rated: M

Review By: B. Krumova

Taken in the Night is the type of story which grabs you from the first sentence. It’s rare to find such a good story; a story you can’t stop reading no matter how much you want.
Sheviking has her way with words; she always had. No matter which story of hers I read (and I’ve read them all) it doesn’t take more than a chapter for me to click on the “story alert” button. Taken in the Night was no exception.

Bella Swan is a normal twenty years old girl, living an ordinary life. She wakes up, goes to school, comes home, reads a book and goes to bed. However, everything changes when she wakes up in an unfamiliar bed, dressed in a skimpy nightgown without a memory how she ended up where she was.

I woke up and immediately knew something was wrong. The ceiling above me was not the same as I normally looked at when I opened my eyes in the morning.
Where am I?
My heart started beating faster and my hands went clammy as the fear set in.
Something is terribly wrong!
I sat up and noticed that that I was in a large bed with dark blue sheets that were incredibly soft and clearly not the cheap ones that I used to sleep in at home. My eyes quickly darted around the room which was large and very nicely decorated. On the wall across from the bed was a huge flat-screen TV, there were bookcases filled with books and DVDs. On the nightstand there was a vase with beautiful white roses which I could smell from where I was sitting.
What did I do last night?
I thought back. I had gone to bed at 11 after a boring night at home and nothing out of the ordinary had happened. I looked down at myself and my heart went into overdrive when I saw that I was wearing a nightgown made out of silk rather than my usual cotton pajamas. Someone had changed my clothes!
Panic started to set in and I felt the tears begin to form while I grabbed the sheet to cover my scarcely clad body. Just then I heard someone clear their throat in the corner of the room. The hairs on the back of my head stood up and I felt a rush of fear as the realization hit me:
I am not alone.

The story is told from Bella’s point of view which allows us to sympathize with everything she feels. As the initial shock subsides, our narrator finally understands what’s happened. She had been taken from her own apartment, her own bed and brought to where she was.
But who is her kidnapper? What does he want?
Money was not an issue for him, since the room she was locked in was more than well furnished. She wasn’t someone important; she didn’t have any special knowledge or connections.
Stress and desperation sets in as soon as she realizes he only wants her.

"My dad, he isn't rich," I said. "But he will give you everything he owns to get me back."
At least that part was true. I may not talk to Charlie very often, or pretty much at all anymore, but I still knew that I could count on him if I was ever in trouble. And, boy was I in trouble now.
"Bella, I don't want your father's money," Edward said. "I just…I just want…you."
"Oh, God," I whispered. "You're not ever letting me go, are you?"

Edward is not your typical kidnapper. He doesn’t lock Bella in the basement, tying her writs and making her eat dog food. On the contrary, he’s gentle, caring and sweet.
Which confuses Bella beyond believe.
What exactly is Edward’s deal? Why did he take her away and what does he want from her? How will the story proceed? Will Bella keep living in the nightmare, while Edward enjoys his dream come true?
Trust me, this story is worth it.

Dear Maggie by Jenny0719
A heart leads Bella back home to Forks... and to the brother of the woman who donated it. M for Lemons/OOC/Language

Review By: Dragnfli Threethreesix

I love to find stories that have a unique story line and sometimes that is hard to find in a fandom with thousands and thousands of stories.  Dear Maggie by Jenny0719 was one of those for me. In classic Twilight style, Bella moves to Forks from Phoenix, although she doesn’t do it for her mother and she has already graduated from high school.  She is set to attend the University in Washington for college that year.  But that isn’t the only reason she is in Forks.

I reached up and felt the long, pink puckered scar that divided my chest, my constant reminder of why I was here and how things could change in just the blink of an eye. One day, you're lamenting over things like history reports and gym class, and the next, you're lying in a hospital bed, surrounded by wires and tubes while a doctor broke the news that your heart was dying, that you'd been born with this... defect that had been overlooked for years; one that slowly ate away at you while you wandered through life thinking that every fall and every strange shift in your equilibrium was because of some genetic flaw of clumsiness your mother passed down to you, when it was really one that ran so much deeper and created more problems, more pain—both physical and emotional—than you'd ever thought you could bear.

I glanced over at the file folder sitting beside me and had the sudden urge to snatch it up and cradle it to my chest. It held so much information about the girl whose life had ended so mine could finally begin. She'd given me a second chance, and it was hard to reconcile the immense gratitude and happiness I felt for being alive with the guilt and sadness I felt over her life being cut so short and so suddenly.

After Bella recovered from her heart transplant, she had a sudden, fierce need to know about this girl, Maggie, from who she got her heart.  She has also struggled through her feelings that she didn’t deserve her heart. She started writing in journals to work through her feelings.

Dear Maggie,

He's here. I can feel it. It scares me how connected I feel to him already. I don't even know his name, but I know that I'm supposed to meet him. I just wish I knew why. Telling him about you is the only thing I can think of, but it still seems wrong. Like there's more to it, and I'm just not seeing it.

I sound crazy, right? Sometimes, I think maybe I am. Like the psych eval I had to go under to make sure I could handle this was wrong or altered so I could have the surgery regardless of my mental state. I wouldn't put it past Renee to use the last of her savings and pay off some unsuspecting shrink to save me. After all, I am writing another letter to a dead girl. Just like I have been for months...

Bella’s new doctor in Forks is none other than our favorite, Dr. Cullen.  During her checkup, he gives her information on his son’s garage, knowing that he needs help and she needs a job.  She decides to stop there on the way home and meets Edward, who is less than accommodating, in fact, he is truly an ass. It turns out though that Edward is exactly the reason that Bella has come to Forks.

"Are you sure about why you're here?" he blurted out.

"I'm pretty sure, yeah. Why?"

"It's just…" He paused and stared at his plate for a moment. "I found the name of your donor's brother today."

I was suddenly giddy with anticipation, all thoughts of the red-headed asshole from earlier forgotten. "Really? Who is he? Does he live in Forks like we thought?"

"Yeah, he lives here. For now, anyway," Charlie answered reluctantly. He pulled out a slip of paper from his pocket and pushed it my way.

I reached out to take it from him, my hand shaking nervously as I did. I stared at the script on the paper in disbelief unsure if I was reading it correctly or if it was some crazy figment of my imagination.

Edward Cullen.

Edward was adopted by the Cullen’s, along with Emmett and Jasper, who all had something horrible happen to them in their lives.  Edward doesn’t sleep to avoid nightmares and he can’t stand being touched.  He is standoffish and has an asshole attitude which is mostly a defense mechanism to keep people away.

After all these years, I'd become a master at hiding things from my family. No one knew exactly what I'd been through. No one knew how black I was inside, how soulless I sometimes felt. I kept up the façade; I appeared the so-called norm. My adoptive parents thought they'd saved me from a life that was bound to find me not simply homeless, but dead in one of those dark alleyways I tried to forget. I supposed that in a way, they did.

They just didn't know that it still haunted me; that I spent every night lying awake so that I didn't see the monsters of my past or that I'd trained myself to stop screaming when I woke up from the nightmares they induced on the nights I finally did succumb to exhaustion. They had no idea that I was already broken when they'd found me and that the thousands of dollars of therapy they'd spent on me had only helped me to cope with the aftereffects of that life.

I’m really excited about this story and to where it goes, especially when Edward finds out about his sister. At six chapters in, Edward is beginning to open up just a little bit to Bella, when Esme forces him to accompany Bella on a hiking trip.  I also love this Bella, she is not a doormat and gives it back to Edward when he is a jerk to her, which is often. Jenny0719 has a wonderful story here, so please give Dear Maggie a try! You won’t regret it!

Brazilian Chocolate by Amesomesauce76
In 1994, he was an arrogant college student & she was dating his little brother. He was always haunted by the memory of her until fate brought them together again 16 yrs later. What happens when a forbidden attraction is no longer forbidden? EPOV, AU/AH
Twilight - Rated: M

Review By: Edmazing

Right up front, I want to go on record and say I’m a fan of AwesomeSauce76. I can’t help but smile and bite my lip and maybe squirm in my seat a little whenever I think of her panty ruining fic Last Tango in Forks.  And her oh-so-hot one shot Forever is probably my favorite mini vamp tale. She writes hot shit with characters you want to spend time with and get to know.

So, it’s no surprise that I loved her latest story, Brazilian Chocolate. At just over 31k words it is just the right size to sink your teeth into and savor in one sitting. And believe me. You’re going to want to carve out a little chunk of time to fully savor the longing and the heat in this one!

Edward is an isolated traveling consultant. Choosing to work with computers and programs instead of people.  And opting for holiday pay over holiday cheer.

Tired and annoyed with traveling.  Really, annoyed in general, he is headed home from Brazil after a holiday job.  Stuck at an airport because of a delayed flight and scrounging for reading material because of a misplaced cord, he hears it.

The laugh. Made by the distant crush that he has haunted him for so long. Connected to the same warm, brown eyes he has sought out here, in her homeland, and in every other location he has been sent to.

Bella Cigne. Really, she was less than a crush. She was his little brother’s foreign-exchange-student girlfriend. She was an attraction that was suddenly awakened within him. And immediately denied.

I pulled my sunglasses on and laid my head against the back of the chair, giving the impression that I was resting, when all I really wanted was an opportunity to just… look. Just one minute of being able to study her more closely without anyone knowing. It's not like it was any big deal; that's just what guys did. If you are in a swimsuit in front of a guy, ten times out of ten, you're gonna get looked at. The fact that it was my little brother's teenage girlfriend didn't change anything; it only meant that I had to be more secretive about it.

I started at her toes and worked my way up, sliding my eyes over her naturally bronzed skin. I loved that sheen on a woman's smooth legs when the sun hit them, and hers were no exception. I kept going, turning my head slightly to see better, but not enough so that she would notice. When I landed on her hips, I couldn't help but notice how much wider they were; she had formed quite the little hourglass while I was busy not paying any attention to her.

I had also noticed earlier, though she was currently laying on it, that she had developed one of the roundest, juiciest asses I had ever seen. It just didn't seem fair that something so perfectly sinful was wasted on my brother, who I was positive had absolutely no idea how to handle curves so vicious.

My eyes continued their journey, up over the basic one-piece teal swimsuit that would have seemed modest on anyone else, but on Bella it just looked delicious. I landed on the soft mounds of her breasts, not intending to linger, but was thrown off guard when I noticed exactly what had made Jasper so… frustrated.

She hadn't been lying when she had told him she was cold. Her tightened nipples were poking out through the material in her suit, so high that I could practically tell what time it was.

I didn't mean to stare, I really didn't, but I had no idea how long I looked at them. It was like they had little tractor beams attached to them. I had only wanted to do a quick once-over to appreciate a beautiful girl, not to practically start drooling on her like a dog staring at a bone.

Speaking of bone…

As soon as I noticed a familiar stirring inside my swim trunks, I jumped up quickly and ran inside the house, praying that nobody would notice before it got out of hand.

Flashbacks like this build and create the longing that had me hooked. Yes, the curves and sex appeal were new and not to be ignored, but the connection had already been forged. Edward has lived with this secret hunger for 16 years.

A chance encounter and a winter storm are all it takes to flips that switch.

After becoming reacquainted, Edward realizes this is not the young high school student he knew all those years ago. She has grown into an independent and loving woman who has learned the balance between making herself happy and keeping ties to the family that she doesn’t see eye to eye with.

She can also appreciate the value of timing. Once Edward’s covetous desire is revealed she is quick to point out that it would’ve been wrong then. But now is a different story.
And Bella’s ready to show Edward the difference.

"But now?" I choked out.
Rather than answer me, she did something that nearly made my knees buckle with weakness.

She kissed me.
Bella. Kissed. Me.
I had always wondered what it might be like to have something I had dreamed about for years actually come true. Now I was finding that the reality was ten thousand times better than the dream.

It was fucking euphoric.

I kissed her and kissed her, licking and biting at her lips in between, unwilling to let her go for even a second. She didn't seem to mind, running her fingers through my hair and moaning softly as our tongues danced together in a rhythm that our bodies were controlling.

She didn't taste like cinnamon… she tasted better. She tasted like sunshine and happiness and everything that was good in the world.\

I was already addicted.

The heat is dialed up to scorching after that, but does Edward have what it takes to hold on to his exotic beauty?  There’s only one way to find out, and you know you want to. So indulge in Brazilian Chocolate. You won’t regret it. And don’t forget to leave AwesomeSauce76 some love.

Review By: Jaime

I cannot lie… I’m a total and complete fangirl for cosmogirl7481. Her Edward’s are some of the loveliest, from Retail Therapy to Conversations Over Coffee to Edward in the Afternoon… I want each and every one of them and Solstice Edward is no exception.

This story has the potential to resonate with everyone.  If you’ve survived loving someone unscathed, I envy you.  This Bella has not, and from the very first words of the very first chapter we see the pain, the bitterness, the anger.

Fucking depressing.

That's all I see as I look around this room. Not that I'm looking much. I'm just going to keep my head down, you know, mind my own fucking business. I can't believe that my therapist, Renata, thinks this is a good idea. It's not. And she'll see that it's not at our next session, when nothing has changed.

Nothing's ever going to change.

Unless we're talking about my life.

A chill covers me, so I put on my grey knit sweater. It's baggy and unattractive, but immediately I feel warmer…safer. I love the way it smells – a mixture of Downy and my perfume. I breathe in deeply, fucking thankful that he didn't buy it for me. The sweater or the perfume. I shouldn't have worn flip-flops because my feet are going to be cold. The thermostat in this place must be jacked down to sixty. They're probably afraid that a warm environment will lead to the spreading of our illnesses.

Is bitterness even contagious?

I think I love this Bella simply because I can relate. I've felt what she’s felt, knowing it's incredibly hard to move past devestating betrayal from a loved one.

We first meet Bella in a group therapy session for the divorced, recommended to her by her therapist, Renata.  Enter Edward.  He too has had his share of heartbreak and after she spills in her first meeting she asks the question:

And before I can stop myself, I hear me asking, "Yeah…but why?"

His face is serious, and he steps in closer. Too close. So close I can feel the heat emanating from his stupid, perfect body. I hear him breathe – I feel his breath across my face. And my whole body warms from the almost-contact. And I don't fucking move. I stand there frozen like a statue in the park.

"I'm divorced because…" he sighs loudly, leaning in to whisper in my ear. "My wife left me because my cock was too big for her tiny vagina."

Yeah, Cosmogirl7481 isn’t just breaking your heart in this story, she’s adding bits of life... soft, sweet and even the funny.  We get other personal stories from meeting attendees which are uniquely weaved into the story. The meetings ultimately prove to Bella that she’s not alone in the world. One of my favorite parts of this tale is so tender, yet hot and tantalizing. With descriptions so gorgeous and real, you can practically see it happening in your mind.

His thumb touches the corner of my mouth, wiping gently. It lingers there as he looks at my lips. And I'm looking at him, feeling the electric spark of his skin against mine. My heart is pounding, and I want to run away. But I also want to stay…and I'm just…I'm so fucking conflicted. Nervous and scared and more excited than I should allow myself to be.

His eyes flash to mine – so green and dark. And his cheeks are flushed like I feel. And I wonder if it's the wine…or if he's feeling like I'm feeling. And he looks back down to my mouth before slowly dragging his thumb across my bottom lip.

Ultimately, this story is about a soul who's been humiliated and devastated personally but hopefully coming out the other side stronger, and not letting the past color her self-worth. Sure, meeting Edward is a turning point for her, but he can’t fix everything. He can be patient and kind and share his opinion, but in the end, it’s up to her to take that step to trust and open herself up again and to realize that not all men are like her ex.

With daily updates from Cosmogirl7481, you’re not forced to wait long for the pieces of this gorgeous story.  Please go give it a read, you’ll be begging for more at the end of each and every chapter!

TLS Fics of the Week 9/13 - 9/19/2011- Five Star Reviews of Five Sweet Fics

Words With Strangers by Nolebucgirl
EPOV Companion Piece to Words with Friends. Movie star Edward Cullen is done with women and focused on his career. A stranger reaches out to him via Words with Friends. Will her words change his mind? Twilight - Rated: M
Review by: Mina Rivera

Who hasn’t heard of the game Word with Friends?

Or even of the story by Nolebucgrl with that title?

If you haven’t read her story, then don’t worry.

Words with Strangers is the companion to Words with Friends, where we see the side of famous actor Edward Cullen meeting a stranger through the famous game. I know sometimes people tend to only read exclusively one point of view for fear of repetition, but you have nothing to fear with this original storyline. Nolebucgrl does an amazing job keeping you on your toes and then have you beg for more, more and MORE!

At the beginning, it is boredom what makes this Edward accept the game with BluBell22 and he soon discovers that there is more than letters and cute PMs behind the mysterious new player.

A simple question: Hi. Do I know you? And the airwaves of communication are opened…

It was good to be home. Too bad I was only here for a few hours. I couldn't even go to my childhood home, which my parents still maintained even though we all lived in Hollywood now. I was in the dressing room waiting to go talk to Oprah. Garrett and Kate were coordinating some more interviews and I was bored.

I opened my phone and pulled up Words again. Hmm, that BluBell22 had played and left me a message. I clicked on it and felt myself smiling at his/her words.

No, I just wanted someone new to play with.

You and me both, my new friend. Too bad the only playing I'd be doing would be with myself for a while.

Oh, I didn't mean it like that! Sorry, I'm a spaz.

I found myself laughing. A spaz? That was different. Well, better a spaz than a stalker, right?
She/he had played spy. Hmm, that was an interesting choice of words to go with my stalker thought. Oh well, what was the harm in responding? I needed to find out if my new friend was a male or a female, because calling them he/she was kind of dumb.

Time to have a little fun with my spaz.

Ladies start your engines! Or better yet, stock up on panties, shamwows and tissues, because these two will play a very naughty game with some very dirty words, and the also WWF, of course!

Skeletor17: I'm not wearing the t-shirt of the band I'm going to see, Bella. I'm talking about my physical well-being. How are you going to risk the yard stick like that?

Did I really go there? Yes, yes I did. Well, what could I say? My dick was always involved when she was around.

BlueBel22: I would never risk your yard stick, Edward. Not before I got my hands and other things on it, at least.

Fuck, this girl was going to kill me. But what a way to go.

Skeletor17: Other things? Such as?

Let's see just how far you'll go, Bella.

BlueBel22: Whatever you'll let me put on it, of course. A bell, to remind you of me and to inform me of when certain things arise? A bow, for me to unwrap like a present?

A bell? Yeah, I was laughing again. How did she do that? Though she could absolutely unwrap me anytime.

As the time goes and Edward hops from one country to another, the messages and emails turn more and more… steamy. You will laugh, pant, squirm, giggle, snort, fan yourself and repeat through the chapters, because there is nothing like a dirty talking, or in this case typing, to make you reach for that favorite toy of yours or the unscented lotion you have available.

Why unscented lotion? Well, that for you to find out and for Wordward to tell you. ;D
So go, read this amazing story and maybe go look for someone to play in WWF, heck, maybe you’ll find me there!

Although LaMomo would probably advise you not to, since I already kicked her ass! ;D

Go read, play and read some more, you won’t be able to put it down once you have started!

Till next time.

Evading Edward by VampsHaveLaws
Bella's first encounter with Edward instantly leads to a mutual dislike. She is the new girl in town that has attracted more than one admirer and he's the boy who usually gets what he wants. So how will one evade when the other is set to conquer? AH Twilight - Rated: M

Review by: Dolly Reader and Kitty Vuitton

Evading Edward is a story that is about friendships, secret relationships and of course lust and love during high school.  You get to know Edward and Bella separately before they are continuously pushed together by their close friends and family.  At first, it is hatred at first sight.  Bella refuses to fall for Edwards player ways, and Edward is too absorbed in himself to get to know the real Bella.

I felt my eyes bulge once again. He was tall, lean and dressed in all black. His t-shirt was sculpted to his obviously well-defined chest and torso. I nervously lifted my gaze to see a perfect, chiseled jaw and prominent cheekbones all covered in familiar pale skin.

I again heightened my gaze, and was met with the most piercing emerald green eyes I had ever seen. It was almost as if they were searing straight through me, leaving a hot trail in their wake. It was then that I noticed the messy bronze hair. It looked like he'd either been running his hands through it constantly all morning, or he'd had one hell of a fucking session. From what I'd been told by the others, I decided sex hair it was.

I shook my head to clear my thoughts, momentarily breaking eye contact. I quickly glanced back up through my lashes to meet his stare once more. OK, when had he gotten right in front of me? I took another deep breath to calm myself, mint and something like cinnamon and musk filling my lungs. So, this is Edward Cullen?

"You know, you should really look where the fuck you're going!" he seethed. OK, asshole was definitely more fitting.

"What the hell? You do realize that you were the one driving and nearly hit me? Did you hit your head? Are you confused?" I waved my hand in front of his face as if to try and prove my statement.

As these two continue to dance around one another and unsuccessfully ignore the passion that is burning within them, they realize that maybe an agreement can be made.  An agreement that allows them to taste the forbidden fruit while pretending that It has no effects on them.

"Do you know what the worst part is?" I asked softly. He shook his head curtly, evidently extremely uncomfortable with this conversation. "The worst part is that I don't know if I can fight it any more than you can. There's this... thing, this connection -" I trailed off, not knowing how to finish that sentence.

"You know, I once thought of you as a stubborn puzzle piece," I stated, quickly moistening my lips. "Nothing about the way you behave or speak fits with the other."

As their secret relationship takes root, their agreement allows them to express their need for one another, but shields the truth from everyone in their circle.  Edward & Bella are both determined to protect their connection and it's intensity from influencing forces (friends and parents) because they want what they have to be special to them.  There are many bumps along the way for these two, making it a constant challenge to keep their secret relationship from their friends.  The fact that they are each magnetic in their own right ensures that they are constantly negotiating attention from other boys and girls respectively.  Bella has Jacob and James vying for her attentions, while Edward attempts to avoid being ensnared by an entire cadre of mean girls.

"You cook?" he asked. I nodded at James, holding my hand out for the spaghetti. He handed it to me without any incident, which I wasn't expecting, but then again it was only Edward who was childish enough to do things like that...

"Anyway, I'm glad I ran into you, I wanted to ask you something," he voiced, taking a step closer to me, his eyes taking on a new expression. I looked at him warily, not sure what he was going to ask me.

"What's that?" I requested, transferring the weight of the basket to my free hand, trying not to let my caginess show. He tilted his head to the side as if searching for something, his actions increasing my nerves.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out next weekend, maybe have dinner, catch a movie?" My eyes widened in shock, his expression unwavering. I swallowed the lump in my throat, turning my head away from his gaze...

Can Bella push her feelings for Edward aside, knowing that he may never want more then just a secret relationship, and see that maybe there is someone out there that can give her more?  What does she sacrifice for her secret relationship with Edward?  And what will the fall out be when their closest friends realize that Edward and Bella have been lying to them all along?

"Jake," I shouted, heart pounding as I tried to catch up. "Please, stop."

His shoulders tensed as he registered my voice, and I could see Rosalie pushing Emmett forward as they both passed by me, a few yards to the side nearer the shore line.

My breath came out in short bursts as Jacob swung around to face me, mouth drawn into a frown.

"Did anyone else know?" he asked, brows lowering as his Adam's apple bobbed in his throat.

I knew what he was asking. I shook my head. "No."

"How long?" he questioned, hands clenching into fists.

I said nothing. Suddenly couldn't.

"How long!" he shouted as tears finally streaked their way down my cheeks.

"About six months," I whispered, watching his face crack.

He took a step away, distressed. "So the whole time...?"

Holding in a sob, I could only nod, my eyes briefly squeezing shut against the look on his face.

Will Jacob forgive her, and is Edward man enough to stand up and admit his true feelings not only to Bella, but to his family?  Evading Edward has only just begun to give us insight to these questions.

Bare by Stella Luna Sky
Winner of two Summer 2009 Indies. A beautifully plain girl writes the colors used to unravel a young prodigy of the brushstroke. What color are the eyes that see through the heart? Forest green and their rooted brown. AH/M. COMPLETE. Twilight - Rated: M

Review by: OneBraveLamb

stella luna sky’s - Bare, is pure prose masquerading as fanfiction. I fell in love with the way she wrote her characters from the very first chapter.

“I am not beautiful, she wrote. Her script was a mixture of cursive and print, the lovely handwriting already a contradiction of her words. I am my mother's keeper, my daddy's little girl, and I thank them for my name, but I do not live up to it.

The notebook slammed shut suddenly, because she felt eyes where they didn't belong, ghosting her words with each loop and scratch.

"There is Camus in your back pocket, and a Biology textbook on your desk," she hissed at the boy next to her. "Surely, they are more interesting than the musings of an insecure girl."

"Sorry," he whispered back, and she could almost feel the heat of his shame in being caught.”

It’s actually hard to write a review, because I feel that all of my words are sadly lacking. But I’ll persevere and give it my best shot, anyway.

Bella is an insecure girl, who doesn’t believe that she’s beautiful, even though everything she does screams beauty.

“She didn't open her notebook again until late that night, ready to pour out the strange day in ink. She was full; Charlie had brought home some good steaks from the local butcher, and it was dry enough to grill, so he manned the outdoors while she made a salad and a pasta side. Now it was rainy, the good kind of rainy, where it made sleep comfortable and quick, and she was almost ready to succumb.

When she flipped it open to the page she had left off on, a very different script met her eyes. Under her rant of beauty lacking, were three words in a neat, elegant print:

You are beautiful.

And, just for a moment, she believed it.”

Edward is an artist, who sees beauty where other’s can not.

Ah, a match made in Heaven.

Sadly, it’s not all rainbows and smiles for these two. Where Bella is plagued by insecurities, Edward is haunted by his past.  The road these two find themselves on is a bumpy one, indeed, but luckily Bella has more wit and snark than any mere mortal should possess; her view of the world helps keep you from despairing too much.

"Who… was that?" Bella whispered to Angela.

"That was Edward Cullen," Angela answered. "Alice's brother. I've never seen him act like that… he's aloof, but always polite. Just like the rest of their family. Alice is the only outgoing one, but even she's distant, to an extent. I've never… oh my goodness."

"What did you do to piss Edward Cullen off so much?" Lauren called down the table. "Rumor has it, he loves all women… you must repel even man whores, Bella."

"If my brother is a whore, then what does that make you?" said a musical, infuriated voice behind Bella. "The village bicycle?"

"The village doorknob," Bella answered without thinking. "Everyone gives it a turn."

The table erupted in laughter, and Lauren's face reminded her of Bosch's paintings of Hell. She felt a small hand on her shoulder, and turned to see Alice's smiling face.

It’s a very poignant and mature high school story about love, loss and finding yourself. You’ll be swept away with Edward’s brushstrokes and yearn to be able to wield words like Bella. Bare truly is a magical story that you’ll want to bury yourself in. I just don’t have the words to adequately express my love for it.

I really don’t want to give away too much of this story, because it’s a fantastic read and you’ll really want to discover these two, and all of the supporting characters on your own. So go do that, and leave stella luna sky some love when you realize you adore her as much as I do.

From My Window by Kitkat681
Every morning he watches her run past his house. He wants her. She has no idea.
Twilight - Rated: M

Review by: Cara No

I was looking for a quick read last weekend, and little did I know that the story I stumbled upon would turn me into a panting, not to mention pleading, mess. I wasn’t alone in this mess, far from it, and we were many begging Kitkat681 for more and more and… ungh… more.
From Your Window is a drabble fic, meaning short chapters popping up like a birthday gift in your inbox often. Very often in Kitkat’s case because she started and finished the fic in two days.
So… we have Voyeurward and Dirty Runner Girl. It’s mostly in EPOV, and boy is he a horny dude.
In the first chapter, we find out that Edward watches a woman from his living room window every morning. He has for the past six months. He’s captivated and… horny.
A taste…

Here she comes…here she comes…here she comes.
Oh God…
Instant fucking titanium hard on.
Harder than I have ever been in my life.
What is this girl doing to me?
Well, woman really. Cause I know she is a woman…her body is not built like a girl's.
I want to bury my face between those tits and just motor boat the hell outta them.
If I suffocate… then what a way to die.
I have never been happier to have this huge window in my living room than I am at this moment.
Cup of coffee in one hand.
Cock in the other.
What a way to start the morning

Yeah, he wants her alright. And seriously, that line; Cup of coffee in one hand. Cock in the other. It kills me everytime!
And that was just Chapter 3.
Here’s a little something from Chapter 4.

I think she knows I am watching her.
I think she is putting on a show.
I think…
Fuck I think I may be jerking off while standing in front of a curtain-less window in broad daylight.
Yep I am.
Cock is out.
Hand is stroking.
And somethin’ somethin’ from Chapter 9.
I hope you run all around the neighborhood…
Thinking of me…
Watching you…
Getting hard…
Stroking it…
God Damn…
Another morning of me cleaning up jizz off the wall.

See where I’m going with this?
But there’s more. As we read about Edward getting off over and over we also learn a little about his life. And it doesn’t take long before your mind starts to spin.
Do Edward and Bella know each other? That’s the question.
And if they do. How do they know each other?

Can you see my car?
Through the falling snow?
Can you see me?
I don't think you can, but I'm going slow just in case.
I would hate to freak you out…
But I worry.
About you getting home safe.
I worry.

Yes, soon he ventures outside of his house. In his car he follows her. But is he just a voyeur? Is he just a stalker?
For me to know, and for you to find out ;)
All I can say is that you should read it. We get humor mixed with a little sadness, and no matter how creepy one might find Edward, you will fall for him. I sure did.
From Your Window is complete and ready for you to devour. Go!

Kinkily Ever After by Bornonhalloween
Can Edward/Black Velvet/The Dark Prince and Isabella/OnMyKnees/The Princess find everything their hearts and bodies desire in each other? With their fairy tale beginning behind them, can they step into real life together and live kinkily ever after? Twilight - Rated: M

Review by: Kitkat681

In order to talk about Kinkily Ever After by bornonhalloween…you first must read Once upon a Desire, since Kinkily Ever After is a sequel. I know, I know… it looks daunting, but those 153 chapters fly by.

Okay…you read them?

Good, now I can tell you about Edward and Isabella’s continued relationship in Kinkily Ever After. The story starts off as they are leaving the Ball and the prologue gives us a look at what has already happened and what is still to come.

Once upon another time, there was a treacherously handsome, tuxedo-clad Prince, slinking through the waning hours of the Eve of Christmas Eve in a New York City Checker Cab. Next to him on the slippery tape-patched plastic bench seat, joined together at intertwined fingers, was an exquisitely stunning Princess, dressed in a royal blue ball gown that would make any Oscar-nominated actress weep with envy.

She's made a series of monumental decisions tonight, any one of which would be fair cause for
reconsideration; the heart-wrenching breakup with her longstanding boyfriend; the surrender to undeniable longings toward the man seated to her right; the terrifying conclusion that her darkest desires can no longer be subdued.

Though perhaps not as obvious, he's risked everything as well. Because this time, for the first time ever, his heart is on the line.

Thankfully bornonhalloween takes pity on us after suffering through 153 chapters of UST (That’s Unresolved Sexual Tension) and gets right to the good stuff. Chapter three is titled First Surrender and boy howdy does our Bella surrender, but of course if Edward came at me with a feather, I think I would give in too.

"I critiqued your Millionaire Master. Do you remember, Isabella?" He must know I've memorized every word that Black Velvet wrote to OnMyKnees about her stories.

"Yes, Sir," I answer promptly.

"And what was my suggestion?" he questions patiently.

"You said that the Master was too harsh and that the heiress would've come at the first touch of the feather, if she'd been yours." As I say the word 'yours', my heart skips a beat or two. His.

Which version will he act out; his own, resulting in sweet release, or omk's, causing me to live out the cruel denial I rained down on my fictional heiress?

"A+, Princess! Just for that, I'm going to give you a little reward." At his words, I stifle the desperate whimper threatening to escape, but I can't contain the drizzle of moisture that starts its path down my inner thigh. A slight breeze would trigger my orgasm right now.

"Now, here's how this is going to go. On my count, you're going to lift your dress up to your waist, and I'm going to brush your sweet, soaking wet pussy with this tickly feather just one time, and you are going to have the most thunderous orgasm of your life. And it's going to be all mine. Understand?"

He holds the feather under my chin and chuckles at my eagerness, but reprimands me swiftly. "Use your words, Princess."

"Yes, Sir."

"Good girl," he praises. "Now don't forget, I want to hear you. Loud and clear. Ready?"

"Yes, Sir," I articulate clearly, doing my part to get this show on the road as quickly as possible.

I know…I left it there… that was mean.

Not only do we get to see Sir and Isabella’s partnership develop we also get to watch as Bella
and Edward battle through the nuances of a ‘vanilla’ relationship. Bornonhalloween tosses in
some ‘chocolate chips’ for us from time to time so we don’t suffer too badly. I for one am excited to watch as Edward tries to figure out when he should be the Dark Prince, Black Velvet or just the sweet Edward Cullen who thinks it is no big deal to hack into Bella’s Bloomingdales account to find out her sizes.

There is also a oneshot called Prince Charming’s Tale that follows Jasper in the few weeks before the ball. We get to see if Jasper is as clueless as he seemed in Once Upon a Desire.

As for the velvet tie that Edward wore to clue Bella into his true identity…I have it on good authority that that piece of fabric will be coming out to play very soon.

Get in early on this one folks…

Cause I think bornonhalloween is going to take us for one hell of a ride.
