The Lemonade Stand has spent so many years bringing you the best the Twilight fandom has to offer, and we are very excited to have the chance to offer you even MORE. We've watched stories grow and develop from first post through COMPLETE, and now we're lucky enough to share previews of the stories that will soon be your new addiction.
This week, the fabulous Pattyrose—the author known for great stories like The Cullen Legacy, The Age of Innocence, and Begin Again—shares details about her exciting new story Bellaria.
Summary: According to a dark and little-known legend, in the high middle ages, and in the midst of an unspeakable betrayal, a young knight made a timeless vow to his beloved wife, Bellaria: “Wait for me. I will find you…as always…for always.”
It’s hard to write a “sneak peek” for this story or to summarize it in a few paragraphs without giving away too much. I’ve been trying to think of a way to convey what this story is about, but maybe if I quickly illustrate a conversation I had with my daughter the other day, it might give you all an idea as to what inspired me to write this, and therefore, what you might expect.
The other day, my youngest daughter and I were talking about the things we do, the things we fail to do, and about how sometimes we fail to do things because they take us out of our comfort zone. Yet if we take a chance, the reward might be worth it.
Writing this latest story took me out of my comfort zone.
In some ways, Bellaria is a departure from anything I’ve written so far. Yet in other ways, it holds true to every single “message” I’ve ever tried to convey through my stories.
Bellaria is about a love so powerful, it transcends the greatest horrors, a love so all-consuming that it becomes the stuff of legends. But as many legends do, Bellaria has at its roots a horrible cruelty, a great loss, an infamous betrayal, and a need for vengeance so deep that it fuels the unthinkable.
But at its heart, Bellaria is a love story. And if you’re willing to take a chance with me and leave behind your comfort zone for a while, the reward might be worth it.
Bellaria will begin posting on Halloween, October 31st. It will post once a week after that, on Mondays. It will be rated M and will be between fifteen to twenty chapters long. Hope to see you then!

“I will await your possession, my husband, for we both know I possess you as well. You are the only man who will ever tame me…as always…for always.”
“As always…for always,” I echoed. For an immeasurable moment, we held one another’s gaze, conveying more than mere words ever could.

“It is an intriguing tale…in parts beautifully poetic…in parts unspeakably heinous.”

DeleteI've heard it said many times that we all have one story inside of us, and great writers discover how to tell it in many different ways. Pattyrose is absolutely one of my favorite writers, fanfic or otherwise, and her story speaks to me deeply in every variation she's made. So, yes, I will be there from Chapter 1, ready to journey outside of my comfort zone and journey with her to another time.
ReplyDeleteLove, you are so so good to me. Thanks so much, hon. I truly hope you enjoy this ride with me. <3
