What we're reading in TLS this week:

Happy Memorial Day to our lovely U.S. readers! Happy Monday/Tuesday to the rest of the world! We have been losing our freaking minds over some new stories. There have been some group discussions, some hand holding and lots of reading addictions going on these past two weeks. Some of us are still being captivated by some oldies & loving the recent updates we have received. Check these stories out and please remember to let the authors know where  you saw their story recommended. Leave them lots of love. Happy Reading!

Before the Dawn by BookwormBaby2580-rec'd by Cappricorn75
After her mother's wedding in Mexico, Bella encounters a vampire with less altruistic motives than the those held by the vampires she might have met in Forks under drastically different circumstances. One bad decision, she discovers, can change her entire life. Rated M

Bella of Victoria by DH78-rec'd by Midnight Cougar
Kindred spirits, family, and love... she finally had it all. Her stubbornness may have caused her to lose the one who knows her best. A story about growing up and growing love. An Anne of Green Gables-inspired love story. Rated M

Benefactor by Dorchester-rec'd by Cappricorn75
"You all know my name already; I am Doctor Carlisle Cullen. After I lock this door, you will not leave your place until you are dismissed. At the end of the day, one or more of you will be selected by me to come live in my house and partake in my social experiment for the next month." A few are chosen. The experiment begins. Slash. Rated M

Counsel by Write Sisters-rec'd by Twific Crackmum
Known as Counsel to his friends, bastard or worse to his enemies, Edward is set to prosecute a case against, Jasper, a college friend and politician. Jasper engages another friend, James as his lawyer. Isabella, a key witness, becomes involved with all three. Can she navigate a path between these ruthless men, and will the mens' friendship survive? Rated: M

Drinking Problems by Badjujube-rec'd by Evilnat
"How can you teach a vampire to abstain from humans?" I asked Carlisle. "Starve them and take them to the zoo?" He shook his head at me and smiled. "Rehab," he said. Rehab for vampires. It was the worst idea I'd ever heard. Rated: Fiction M

Easy as Pie by Edwards' Eternal-rec'd by Drotuno
Edward Masen: successful actor, admired by many, desired by thousands; he had everything he could have possibly wanted, except … happiness. One night, while trying to escape his crazy life, he literally made a "right" turn, which led him to Little Bell. Could finding that happiness really be as easy as pie? Rated M

Foolish Hearts by LyricalKris-rec'd by Cappricorn75
The Oregon Trail. Over 2,000 miles of unforgiving wilderness stretches between Bella and a new life. Edward knew from experience the trail was no place for young love, but then, his heart was known to be foolish. Rated M

Honest Liar by AWhiteBlankPage-rec'd by Everyfreakingbody!
Bella once told me that there was nothing braver than a flower growing through a crack in the sidewalk. I laughed because she was always giving feelings to things that don't feel. If she was standing next to me, I'd tuck the dandelion behind her ear. Or she'd blow on it and make a wish. A hundred wishes. Or maybe just one. Rated M

It Happened One Night by Spanglemaker9-rec’d by Nic
Just one night, just for fun, no strings and no expectations. Simple things never stay that way. Rated M

Kimberley Diamond by Gingerandgreen-rec'd by Midnight Cougar
Historical fiction, but not what you expect. In Kimberley, a diamond mining town in the Northern Cape, South Africa, 1872, a frontier bride meets her very certain destiny. An award winner in the Mine to Mark contest 2013, this is PossessiveWard my style. Rated M

Miss Anything by The World Is Watching-rec'd by Edmazing
She can be anything. She can do anything. She can take you where you want to go. Make you the man you want to be. Show you what life is capable of. What you have been missing out on. It's simple, really. Send an email. Receive a time and place. Be there. And Isabella will do the rest. Rated M

Quarterback Sneak by Jayhawkbb-rec'd by Cappricorn75
As a Seattle sports talk radio host, it's my job to give my opinion on the Seahawks new quarterback, Edward Cullen. But maybe I shouldn't have said what I know, about his butt. E/B Rated M for language and adult content. Rated M

Rest My Soul by MrsSpaceCowboy-rec'd by Everyfreakingbody!
On opposite corners of Third Street and Beale, two lonely people fight to stay that way. Her scars are on the surface, soft on her skin and in her eyes. His run bone-deep, seeped in bourbon and blues. EPOV. Rated M

Restoration by Elise de Sallier-rec'd by Sixdlb5
Resigned to her lonely fate, Bella risks her life to rescue a man left for dead by enemy soldiers. Edward turns out to be a little more than she bargained for, his presence awakening dangerous desires and inspiring dreams that could change her life—and the course of a Kingdom—forever. Loosely inspired by Cinderella. Rated M

The Client by ThisIsReallyHappening-rec'd by Gloria K
I have nothing to fear but fear itself. And my incompetent stylist. I just asked for Spanx, but his hand is raised and…this isn't going to end well. Rated M

The Consequence of Miracles by Travis Birkenstock-rec'd by Nic
Sometimes, the miracles we plead for come at a terrible price. AH, dark subject matter. Rated M

The Invisible Line by Littlecat358-rec'd by Sixdlb5/Nic
Edward and Bella, friends since high school, are very close. So close, that the line between friendship and something more is often blurred. Will they ever cross the line or will they always teeter on the edge of what could be? Rated M

This Side of the Equator by Jaxington-rec'd by Twific Crackmum/Cappricorn75
On that side of the Equator a six year age difference is nothing, just a number that loses meaning in the face of adventures and shared interests and long bus rides. But on this side of the Equator, in Forks Washington where Bella is a teacher, six years are everything, an impenetrable barrier that makes life impossible when Edward Cullen shows up as an exchange student. Rated M

Vespers by Spoons are for marmalade skies-rec'd by Nic
A tragedy leaves Bella in a spiral of strange events. She's more confused than ever when a hot, magnetic lawyer offers a distraction from the tangled feelings she has for her oldest friend. ExB Rated M
