XOXO

Honest Liar by aWhiteBlankPage
Bella once told me that there was nothing braver than a flower growing through a crack in the sidewalk. I laughed because she was always giving feelings to things that don't feel. If she was standing next to me, I'd tuck the dandelion behind her ear. Or she'd blow on it and make a wish. A hundred wishes. Or maybe just one.

I was so excited when Jen told me she was writing something new. I adored Pocket Change, and am already in love with this one, too.

The writing is gorgeous, the subject matter gritty, the angst high. It is everything I love in a fic and more. I find the hole in the mangled gate that leads to the freeway underpass. The pillars are covered in chipped paint. This town's failing attempt to beautify corruption. I can remember laughing at the cement covered in yellow sunflowers when they were first painted. Laughing because the homeless who sleep here at night don't care about cement flowers. My wife thought they were beautiful. We were just married. It wasn't the first time I realized that we don't see the world with the same eyes.

Honest Liar is a story about more than just addicition. It is about love, and struggle; losing and gaining moments that slip too fast through your fingers or linger stubbornly like rain.

I'm lucky enough to preread this story, so I know a little of what's to come, and in all honestly, I can say you are not going to want to miss out on this one!

Melt by ineedyoursway
An old soul, a hard past, and a very, very small town.

This is one of my favourite stories right now. I adore it.

ineedyoursway has the ability to mix reality with originality in just a short amount of words. Her writing style continues to blow me away, as does her storytelling qualities and characterizations.

Thursday.

I open the blinds.

It's getting darker as we draw deeper into winter. The trees seem to move closer together, an optical illusion, almost as though they huddle for warmth. Even the air gets colder, though not cold enough to snow.

There is no moon, no sun.

The sky is a thick porridge of clouds, threatening rain.

And, well, I open the blinds.

The light across the way is already on. There is only one car in the driveway. Angela always arrives an hour before her first class, anyway.

He's not in the window.

But, he will be.

I'm so interested to see where this story goes. There is a lot to uncover, with it only being a short way in, and with the characters only just hitting the surface with their respective connections, it's not one to be missed!

Wild Child by FluffyLiz
Just months away from inheriting a fortune and the family business, 17 year old orphan, Bella, is out of control – a wild child with a platinum card and a killer bod. Can Edward, as her legal guardian and CEO of Swan Publishing, rein her in and prevent her from ruining everything he's worked for? AH. Rated M for a reason.

Caught Looking by Marvar
Sometimes it's easier to live your life for someone else.  To ignore your mundane days and sleep through your lonely nights.  And then one day, it's not enough.  A story about finding love when you're not even looking. You just get caught.

Catch My Breath by tanglingshadows
Once upon a time, a quirky woman barreled into a soft-spoken man's life and turned it upside down. Not that he complained about it...

Pinky Promises by PrettyKittyArtist
A girl that tries to follow the rules. A boy that has none. What happens when the rules just don't make sense anymore? Fictionista Workshops WitFits July 2012

Dodge and Burn by abstract way
He assumed Isabella Swan was crazy, yet that very fact had intrigued him. He hadn't dealt with a compelling person, sane or crazy in quite a while. She just seemed ripe with possibilities to be anything but mundane.

Dear Veronica by cosmogirl7481
1994 was the year that The Cranberries lingered on our radios and Jordan Catalano was still the hottest boy we could imagine. But it was also the year that Bella Swan decided to keep a diary. A record of her actions. A place to share her thoughts.

In The Waves by Jadalulu
A little something about a girl in love with the edge of her world. Daily updates based on June 2012 Fictionista Workshop Witfit prompts. ExB
